Jogjakarta – The Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (KemenKopUKM), in collaboration with the Korea Trade-Investment and Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Korea Midland Power Co. Ltd (KOMIPO), organized the Korea-Indonesia Start-Up Day event with the theme ‘Boosting Future Leaders of Indonesia.’ The aim of this event is to encourage Indonesian startups to not only be competitive at the national level but also at the global level.

“The massive growth of startups in Indonesia presents a golden opportunity to stimulate economic growth. By maximizing the use of technology in their business operations, startups can provide solutions to the longstanding wealth disparity,” said Teten Masduki, the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (MenKopUKM), in his address in Jakarta (12/12).

Roomansa, a startup graduate of the Innovative Academy, participated in this event along with four other startups: E-Has, Dif Marketer, Henbuk, and Biopener. Roomansa itself is a platform for individual and family psychology consultations, learning, and discussions on various family, child, and self-development topics, with comprehensive services supported by professional psychologists. Through this event, Roomansa and the four other startups received funding amounting to $7,000 USD to develop their business capacities. It is expected that with this funding, the selected startups can further develop and expand their impact on the wider community. KOMIPO and KOTRA also expressed their commitment to supporting Indonesian startups in sustainable development and fostering collaboration between Korea and Indonesia. They believe that Indonesian startups will continue to grow and become a significant pillar of Indonesia’s economy.
