Yogyakarta, October 23, 2024 – Innovative Academy, in collaboration with Swaragama, successfully held the workshop “Digital Branding and Social Media Management Training.” The event, conducted at PORTA by Ambarukmo, garnered full enthusiasm from the participants. The workshop was attended not only by young entrepreneurs and startups seeking to equip themselves for business challenges in the digital era but also by staff members of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) working in public relations and communications.
Held in two sessions, the workshop aimed to provide an understanding of digital branding strategies and how to communicate and market them effectively. Participants were also guided on creating storytelling and copywriting content to attract their target market. In the first session, speakers included Fadli Fathoni from Swaragama Group and Hanum Dyah Wulandari from Impresi Creative. “When targeting markets and building a brand, it is essential to understand and carefully consider the characteristics of the digital media platforms we plan to use. Facebook, for instance, is a friendship-based platform, so branding approaches can target the communities within that platform,” explained Fadli during his presentation on Social Media Branding. The second speaker, Hanum Dyah Wulandari, provided tips and tricks for precise content strategies through content planning. “Content planning is a crucial step to ensure that every piece of content we create is relevant and aligns with the target market. Furthermore, thorough content planning minimizes the risk of implementation errors in marketing strategies,” said Hanum.
The equally engaging second session featured Pandu Rizqy and Nicky Shaquilla, who are content creators, sharing their experiences in building, developing, and maintaining engagement with their content. Nicky Shaquilla, who is also an announcer, delivered an intriguing presentation on delivering information like a professional broadcaster, covering vocal techniques, vocal types, and the content of the information itself. Complementing the workshop sessions, Pandu Rizqy shared tips and tricks for product marketing through audiovisual content. “Building content character can be done in four ways: creating a content persona or distinctive feature, producing content that relates to current social media trends, experimenting to create new trends (becoming a trendsetter), and maintaining a consistent update schedule,” said Pandu.
With the Digital Branding and Social Media Management Training organized by Innovative Academy and Swaragama, it is hoped that participants, including students, UGM staff in public relations and communications, startups, and businesses interested in digital marketing, will benefit significantly from the event.
