Collaborating with The University of Texas at Austin and the YLabs Institute, Gadjah Mada University through the Innovative Academy took a role in the entrepreneurship development program titled “ATX+Indonesia Training Program For Entrepreneurs” on January 17th. The event took place for three days, from January 16 to 18, 2024, and was attended by Gary Anderson, the Program Manager of the Global Innovation Lab at the University of Texas at Austin. The purpose of this training is to provide inclusive opportunities for students and the community to pursue innovation-based businesses.
The activities held at Crystal Lotus Hotel focused on training sessions for participants, accompanied by one-on-one mentoring sessions with the team from the University of Texas, Austin. Participants were also invited to visit UGM’s campus on the first day for program orientation. On the same day, Denny Wijayanto, the Head of the Innovative Academy Program, presented development programs for startups at UGM to enable innovation within the UGM academic community (students, faculty, alumni, and staff) to be developed into startups beneficial to the wider community. On the last day, the collaboration activities concluded with presentations from participants, expected to provide deeper insights into startups and showcase the growth progress of each as a result of the training.
