In May 2023, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) held the “HK Tech 300 Southeast Asia Startup Competition,” which attracted more than 100 startups from various countries in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. The event was attended by startups from various fields, such as deep tech, artificial intelligence, biotech, and health technology. Through this program, CityU allocated a total investment opportunity of HK$600 million. To date, HK Tech 300 has nurtured over 790 startups and teams, including more than 130 startups awarded up to HK$1 million each in Angel Investment.
Inspirasien, a startup from the Innovative Academy, also participated in this program. PT Inspirasien Srikandi, commonly known as Inspirasien, is a platform that offers information on medical health. Astriani Dwi Aryaningtyas, CEO and Founder of Inspirasien, believes that HK Tech 300 can help connect with various stakeholders and potential partners, accelerating its business development.
Professor Michael Yang, Senior Vice President of CityU (Innovation and Enterprise) and Chairman of the Executive Committee of HK Tech 300, stated, “Through this expansion, we hope to promote the technology transfer and commercialization of CityU in the region and support the development of startup businesses by leveraging the advantages and resources available in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Southeast Asia.”
Certainly, we hope that Inspirasien can further develop its business in the medical field through the program it has participated in for the benefit of the Indonesian community. (Author: Ailsa / Photo; Doc. IA).
