Sesi berikutnya dari inkubasi Innovative Academy kembali diselenggarakan di EDS UGM (20/4) dengan menghadirkan Hestyriani Anisa Widyaningsih yang merupakan COO Edspert.id. Mentor memulai sesi dengan menanyakan ke peserta startup mengenai definisi inovasi. “Inovasi adalah sesuatu yang mendisrupsi sesuatu yang telah ada,” jelas salah satu peserta yang kemudian diberikan paparannya oleh mentor.
Materi Branding and Positioning disampaikan oleh Rakhmat Ganda Wirawan, Senior Brand Marketing Manager & Global Project Enesis Group di kegiatan Inkubasi Startup pada Sabtu (20/4) di Gedung EDS UGM. Enesis Group merupakan perusahaan yang menaungi produk-produk seperti Soffell, Adem Sari, Antis Antiseptic, Vegeta, Kispray, Force Magic, Plossa, dan Amunizer.
Kegiatan mentoring program inkubasi Innovative Academy kembali diselenggarakan pada hari Sabtu (30/3) di gedung EDS UGM. Di minggu ke 4 ini Innovative Academy menghadirkan Syafri Yuzal, Direktur PT Aino Indonesia dalam topik Product Development.
Innovative Academy dan Wroxton Holding menyelenggarakan program Shark Tank Yogyakarta, sebuah kompetisi yang menawarkan mahasiswa untuk mempresentasikan ide bisnisnya untuk mendapat investasi dari pihak-pihak yang memiliki pengalaman bisnis yang luas dan keuangan yang signifikan. Pada program ini, tim yang menang akan mendapat pendanaan total 25 juta.
Innovative Academy, inkubator startup yang berada dibawah Direktorat Pengembangan Usaha Universitas Gadjah Mada, kembali menyelenggarakan program inkubasi batch #12 dalam upaya untuk mendorong inovasi di kalangan para entrepreneur muda. Program ini dirancang untuk memberikan dukungan yang komprehensif kepada startup dengan memberikan akses ke sumber daya, mentorship, dan jaringan yang diperlukan untuk sukses.
On Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, the Head of Program at Innovative Academy, Denny Wijayanto, attended the All Hands event organized by Bukit Vista. Denny provided insights into the business world through his experience and career in developing startups in Innovative Academy. Denny Wijayanto’s career is a remarkable tapestry of innovation and leadership. Beginning as a Finance Manager at Stranough Guitar Technology in 2008, he swiftly climbed the ranks to AVP, showcasing his financial prowess. By 2012, he had shifted to a management role at Hamaren, further honing his leadership skills. His passion for innovation led him to the Innovative Academy in 2013, guiding future change-makers as Head of the Program. Simultaneously, he delved into the tech world with PT. Stechq Robotika Indonesia as Senior Marketing Specialist, demonstrating his marketing acumen in the burgeoning robotics sector. Denny Wijayanto addressed the evolution of startup funding over the past decade and the influence of emerging technologies on investment strategies from a comprehensive perspective, drawing from his extensive experience in the field. He outlined how the startup funding landscape has transitioned from a straightforward quest for investors to a more complex environment characterized by increased scrutiny, competition, and strategic financial management. He noted that in the earlier part of the decade, around 2013-2014, the Indonesian startup scene lacked significant players, making it easier for new startups to attract investment simply based on promising ideas. This contrasted sharply with the present scenario, where the market is more saturated, and investors are cautious, given the failures and market corrections observed in the sector.
Melanjutkan kegiatan #Hack4ID yang sebelumnya dilaksanakan di Yogyakarta, target kota berikutnya untuk program Ideathon yang digagas oleh Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital adalah Surabaya. Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital dengan programnya MSIB ini bekerja sama dengan Innovative Academy di bawah naungan Direktorat Pengembangan Usaha Universitas Gadjah Mada sukses menggelar acara #Hack4ID yang bertempat di Markas pada 9-10 Maret 2024 yang diikuti oleh 58 peserta.
Pada bulan Mei 2023, City University of Hongkong (CityU) menyelenggarakan kompetisi “HK Tech 300 Southeast Asia Startup Competition” yang diikuti lebih dari 100 startup dari berbagai negara di Asia Tenggara maupun Hongkong. Acara ini diikuti oleh startup dari berbagai macam bidang, seperti deep tech, artificial intelligence, biotech and health technology. Melalui program ini Universitas CityU memberi kesempatan investasi dengan alokasi total sebesar HK$600 juta. Hingga saat ini, HK Tech 300 telah membina lebih dari 790 startup dan tim, termasuk lebih dari 130 startup yang dianugerahi hingga masing-masing HK$1 juta dalam Angel Investment.
